Seriously? Who would do this to their child?! They're excited to finally get their learner's permit and mom and dad have to announce it to the world! I was laughing pretty hard when I saw this and feel so bad for whoever the "new driver" is!!
I saw this sign as a positive one. Perhaps a woman who always lived in the city and never went for her Driver's License, and now has moved to the suburbs, and as you know could not survive without being able to drive her own car to transport her where she needs to go! Thus at a ripe old age she went to driving school, obtained her license, and is proud to express to the world "I am a new driver!!"
